MONROVIA BULLDOG BRIGADE

The Bulldog Brigade consists of all students enrolled in the band and color guard programs in grades 8 through 12.  Students will march throughout the fall and participate at halftime of home football games.  The Brigade will participate in several marching band invitationals along the Mid-States Band Association and ISSMA circuits as well as the Mid-States Class Championships and Bands of America Grand Nationals.  Evening rehearsals and participation fees are required as part of the class.

MONROVIA HIGH SCHOOL BAND

The Monrovia High School Band consists of students enrolled in the band program in grades 8 through 12.  The concert band begins following the marching season and continues throughout the remainder of the school year.  This class is offered during the school day.

MONROVIA JAZZ BAND

The Monrovia Jazz Band consists of any student in grades 7 through 12 who are enrolled in one of the Monrovia Concert Bands and who have met the audition requirements.  Jazz band members will perform at home basketball games, the Swing Into Spring event and will have other various performance opportunities throughout the year.  This course is offered as a class for students in grades 9 through 12 who are already enrolled in the High School Band.  After school rehearsals on Wednesdays and Fridays (2:45-3:30 pm.) are required for participation.

MONROVIA SEVENTH GRADE BAND

The Monrovia Seventh Grade Band consists primarily of second and third year players in the Instrumental Music program.  Students are required to have an instrument or to rent an instrument in order to participate in the class.  This class is offered during the school day.

MONROVIA SIXTH GRADE BAND

The Monrovia Sixth Grade Band consists of first and second year players in the Instrumental Music program.  Students are required to have or to rent an instrument in order to participate in the class.  This class is offered during the school day.

MONROVIA FIFTH GRADE BAND

The Monrovia Fifth Grade Band is made up of fifth graders wishing to get a head start on performing in the Instrumental Music program.  Students will practice after school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (2:45-3:30) beginning on the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 6, 2011.  Students are required to have or rent an instrument in order to participate.
